I usually like Erica Spindler for a quick read murder mystery. This one was okay, but I have liked other of her works better. I found this one harder to get into, and felt it dragged in places, but the last half really kept my attention. I have to say I had many thoughts on "who dunnit" but was surprised by the ending.

** spoiler alert ** It was... okay. In my opinion, the book, in itself, was too predictable. You knew the Meredith was going to get together with Vladimir. You knew that the new teacher was going to be a vampire. etc., etc., etc... but the writing was pretty good. The story was okay. So... I'd still recommend this book, but it's definitely not as good as, say... Twilight. (When I say Twilight, I only mean the first book... not the entire series...) Or My Sister's Keeper. Or The Count of Monte Cristo... stuff like that. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't surprising and good enough to get a 5 from me
