I wasn't immediately captivated by this book, but for me it got better as it went along. My favorite of this series is still the first--Goose Girl--perhaps because of its folktale roots. Since I'm a storyteller, I especially liked the last line: "Telling his story felt like the next closest thing to giving her a kiss."

this book is difficult to read at first because there are a lot of words that arent easy to understand. its more of an adult book and some of the names are hard to keep up with scince there are so many. ishmael did a good job creating this book and its sad the things he had to witness.

This book is great for elementary to junior high aged kids that a math-a-phobes. I sort of wish that the author didn't make up more fanciful names for real mathematical terms, but he does clarify real versus fake terms in the note at the end. A fun read for anyone who like numbers.

I really enjoyed the writing style of Lemony Snicket. He would add definitions of certain words he used to better explain the situation. So by reading this book, you get both a great story and a vocabulary lesson. This story is not such a happy one and doesn't have the most fortunate ending, but Snicket does warn the reader in the beginning. So you can't say you were not warned.

Ayn Rand's most biographical novel reveals a lot about Ayn Rand, which is why I think I enjoyed it so much. It's shorter than the others and easier to read. I'd recommend it to get into her works.

I learned a lot from this book. If you can get people to admit honest answers you may find yourselves surprised to learn knew things about the people you know. Be warned though, this book may lead to unpleasant situations. I had a guy break up with me because of one of my answers. Looking back, I am glad we read the book together because his answer would have made me think twice about the relationship.
