This was a good book and had some great themes. The main character Troy was a very intersting man. He cheats on his wife and has a baby with another woman. This book is a deffinent must read and i recommend it to anyone who likes to read. I hope that this review will make everyone want to read this book. Love, Holland Frost

This one was tough for me to review honestly because I found the story pretty horrifying. I had no idea what this book was about, and when the plot was unfolding it was just hard to take at times...especially coming from a 5 year old. With that said, it was tough to get into in the beginning because I was having a hard time getting through Jack's lingo...but it seemed to get better as the book progressed. I enjoyed that the story has 2 parts and during these transitional periods you can really appreciate Jack's perspective because it is one of such honesty without any misgivings. More than once, I would think to myself "Hmph, he is absolutely right." This book has gotten some grief because it does capture a real events story with Josef Fritzl, however the narration from Jack really is unique and was done exceptionally well. For that, you have to give Donoghue some credit. This is definitely one I was thinking about even after I put the book down. I think I could have given this one 4 stars but I just have a really hard time enjoying reading about horrific crimes such as these. Regardless though, it is hard not to have a deep appreciation for the way that the story was captured in Jack's eyes.

A classic Childrens tale from a classic Childrens author, I grew up reading and re-reading Roald Dahl's novels time and again... This and The BFG were by far my favorites and I one day hope my Children (should I be lucky enough to have any) will get as much joy and escape out of it as I did.

I really enjoy this series of mysteries, and this book is no exception. I'm not sure that it needed to be 1,000 pages long (hey, I'm an editor; I can't help it!) but the story certainly is more meaty and developed than most mysteries. I missed the focus being on Lynley and Havers (the detectives) since I usually find their stories to be as interesting as the actual mystery, but the other plotlines kept me involved until the end.

I love the Psy-Changeling series. I have since I picked up my first book by Nalini Singh and got hooked into this interesting passionate, unpredictable, every-changing world. I guess I shouldn’t really be surprised that the Author has now gone to hardcover 1st publications and since I refuse to pay the hardcover prices when the series has been in paperback all along and I refuse to pay the same price for an e-book as a hardcover, I now must wait the 6 or so months until the MMPB is released. It sucks to have to wait but it is what it is. Doesn’t change my love of the series any, just kind of pisses me off. In Tangle of need I wasn’t initially feeling the love for Riaz and Adria. I had no lasting memory of them from previous books and I was prepared for this not to be one of my favorites. But Hawke and Sienna have some major face time in this book so much so that they almost felt like the main characters and stole the show. I love that big alpha wolf. I was quite pleased with the expanded role they had in Tangle of Need. Eventually Riaz and Adria did find their way into my heart. I did enjoy their actual hate of each other at the start. I do enjoy it when the couple hate each other but are extremely attracted to one another none the less. This lone wolf and capable senior lieutenant have some pretty steep hurdles to overcome with their lack of the bonding and the fact that Riaz feels mated to Lisette who is married to another. This is a big deal in the changeling world. No matter their issues Riaz and Adria have a pretty powerful attraction to each other and enter into a smoking hot yet tenuous relationship together. I tired to find out who the next book could possibly be about but I guess that’s a closely guarded secret right now so much so that they won’t even release the name of the book for fear of giving something away. There is a lot of speculation The Ghost gets his story. I guess I’ll just have to wait...extra long...for the MMBP release.

This book chronicles the journey of a woman and her dogs following her husband's traumatic brain injury in a chance accident. It is well-written and provides an intimate look at the emotional side of coping with a spouse and a marriage forever changed. Bsased on the title I was hoping the book would focus more on the relationship with her dogs and the strength their companionship provided her during this time, but that seemed to be in the background, which left me a bit disappointed.
