Hall, best known for his poetry, collaborated with Ellis on the book and he pulls you into his story--Ellis's rise, his heyday, and his eventual decline. One of my favorite baseball books.

So far this isn't my favourite and I doubt it ever will be. Without 2 of my favourite characters (Jon and Dany) I lost a lot of interest. A LOT. I don't understand why he couldn't have just split the book chronologically like any normal author would have. Not that anything can be done about it now. There's also way too little of Samwell and Arya (my other favourites) and wway too much focus on Cersei, though I have a lot of fun having bitchy thoughts about her wanning looks whenever a sly passage suggested it. Jamie's ok but he's no Jon and while I generally find Bran a bit boring I'm not going to forget about what Jamie did in a hurry. Also, I love Pod, I think he's adorable. The ending is really good as well :) Unfortunately Catelyn is still a bitch :(

We never really find out - but the author seems to meandre all over the place with other stories of young men who leave all .... found it a bit tedious and my lasting impression of the book was how sorry i felt for Christopher's family.

Picoult is genious when it comes to writing relationships. The book is all about perspective and how all these different players see the same situation. The ending comes at you out of nowhere, and you had better have your tissues ready.
