Craig Groeschel in his new book, "Chazown" published by Multnomah Books looks at the Hebrew word for vision. Looking at the word, Chazown don't you just expect when you say it that a sound like thunder and a lighting bolt to come zipping from the sky striking a young newsboy in a red pullover and then watching him become a grown man in a red outfit with a lightning bolt on his chest? Well that only works in the comics however this is a powerful word. Chazown, pronounced Khaw-zone, is the Hebrew word meaning a dream, revelation or vision. Pastor Groeschel works through how we should be achieving our Chazown in parts. One part is where to look: Your core values: What do you get passionate about? What gets you righteously angry when it is violated? Your spiritual gifts: What are the things you do noticeably well, and love to do? Your experiences: These experiences, both good and bad that make you who you are today. Once we got that part down Pastor Groeschel moves us to how to name your Chazown and where to start and then finally gets us to The Five Spokes of Chazown. If you are like me you might feel that you are just marking time and not really doing anything but still feel that there is really something you are called to do and just can't get a handle on it. "Chazown" is the book that Pastor Groeschel wrote for us. God made us with purpose and we each have our own Chazown. This book will help us find it step by step. I highly recommend this book. Re-read March 2012 * I could read this book every day, and never get tired of it* Wow, how did I get so lucky to read two great books in a row? I'll tell you how - Goodreads.com and Borders. When I posted my recommendation for Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, I got a page that said "people who recommended this book also recommended... Guersney. I looked at it, but I thought the only thing it had in common was WWII, which isn't a genre I'm particularly interested in, so I said "No thanks." Then I went to Borders, which had up the famous "If you like these, you'll like this" section. Well the "these" showed Hotel, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, which I love, and the Piano Teacher, which I enjoyed - and the "this" was - you guessed it, Guernsey. At that point I gave into fate and bought the book. I'm so glad that I did. Guernesy is set just after WWII ends, and is entirely composed of fictional letters and correspondence. The main character is JK Rowling funny in a similarly british way, and by pg. 11 I was already recommending it. It's amzing how much you could learn about characters by their own, and other's letters. They were vivid, they were real, and I enjoyed them tremendously. I could not put it down - read it in 1 day. You'll thoroughly enjoy this book. You'll laugh more than you cry, but you will cry. You may forget the name, but you won't forget the book.

This was excellent! This book offers the most comprehensive coverage of the Maroon wars in Jamaica that I have ever seen. If you have any interest in reading about aspects of Black history that rarely get examined you must read this inspiring account of how former slaves forced a truce with one of the mightiest empires this world has ever seen. My only complaint is that I wish a list of sources was included so that I could have looked at them myself.

Really funny and bizarre, just not written so well. Also, some parts were just weird (Note difference between bizarre and weird). Even if you like Twilight (which by the way I do), I still think you'd enjoy it because it's exaggerated to the point where it's a different story.

I LOVED Jim and Dali's story! I only wish that it was an entire book!! It was great to see another side of Jim, as he is one of my favorites in the series. Dali is a character that I really identify with. I hope that we will get to see more of them in future Kate Daniels books!!
