I really like the story line and it addresses a lot of medical ethics questions. I felt like the author majorly coped out with the ending, which I was very disapointed in. Otherwise a good read.

This book was great. It rhymed and the child had a great sense of self-worth. This book would work great for sensitive students, bullied students, and those egocentric students. I would use this book as a first day book also. It will assure the students in the classroom that although they dont have the best hairstyle or most expensive clothing, they should like themselves for being them. It's also a good read. You will finish with a smile on your face.

But what Rebecca really wants-to be home-is bigger than a breadbox. Laurell Snyder's BIGGER THAN A BREADBOX was a great read. It had a unique plot and a cool genre: magical realism. The realism part could happen in any kid's life (and does), divorcing parents, moving, and changing schools. The magic keeps the book super interesting right up to the exciting ending. AWESOME BOOK! (Note: I read this as an advance reader copy. It comes out in September.)
