Not only does this book deal with Christian themes, it also was written by an author I had never heard of, someone who won the Nobel Prize for literature and is apparently a big deal in Swedish literature. It can't get better than that, right?

This book really started out as the film and went to book form. It is an interesting account of how one person can change another's life in this case the king of England who never thought he would be king but ended up as the reigning monarch after his older brother died one year into his reign. Although the king had started working with his speech therapist Logue (the author's grandfather) before his brother died, it became much more important that he learn to speak competently before a crowd after his ascention to the throne. The power of positive thinking and the willingness to work hard to achieve a goal are the telling points of this book.

REALLY??? THAT's how it ends??? >.< Not completely predictable and all that... not to mention improbable. If she really was (SPOILER ALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERT) a mythical creature, too, AND a biologist/doctor, how come she NEVER ONCE looked/had someone look at her own blood cells??? O.o Because the author emphasizes how different dragon's blood cells are from humans'... I'm pretty sure she should have known she was different, even if the beast was tightly locked up inside her. Oh, and the freaking KING of dragons couldn't SMELL that she wasn't freaking human??? Total FAAAAAAAAAIL!!! >.> At least the steamy parts were super steamy. I'm keeping the book just because of them. Yup, I'm a perv like that, I admit it. 3 1/2 stars for the steamy parts, not the holey plot.

One of my favorite parenting books - practically and reasonably explains things my mother's heart was already sensing as we raise our young boys. One of the best things I took away from this book was in addition to simplifying things, choices, information, etc. we should simplify our speech and conversation and have a rule: Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? If it doesn't fit into one of those categories, we don't waste time talking about it. This is a very Biblical principle as well and one that keeps gossip/slander to a minimum. Great book.

Jane Austen is far more clever than I originally gave her credit for. I went into this one with some trepidation, but I ended up loving it. Elizabeth Bennet has since become one of my favorite characters in literature.

Loved it!!!! It was Awesome! I loved the idea of the changing hearts of the dragons as well as the love between the Crisilin and Chalom. I love the idea behind what the characters are doing as well, to save lives and hope. I don't want to give anything away, but Definately worth reading!!!
