A true book for those who love books and collecting them. Some of the literary references were way over my head but a good mystery overall. This actually was made into a movie starring Johnny Depp (The 9th Gate) but it focused mostly on the Satanism aspect which was very small in the story.

This was a very good book...for a fiction book that is! I like the ending how it didnt end in a corny, predictable way. I loved August's character! I loved her motherly wisdom, patience, and enduring love. Those are qualities I hope to have before I die. This was an enjoyable read!

I absolutely loved this book! I am still fondly thinking of this book days later so I am going to give it 5 stars. Reading this book really gave me an insight into the life of slavery that I didn't have before and it put my measly problems into perspective. It also really made me think about how sometimes I am so quick to judge without ever even thinking about what people have been through or what trials they been through to make them react the way they do.

Full of more right-wing scare propaganda. I will let you know when I do get a real opinion on this book!

This is a beautiful graphic novel about Marji, a 10 year old Iranian girl growing up during the Islamic revolution of 1979. I learned a lot about Iran and the Iran-Iraq war. A very good book that reads super fast!

And now, the second Harry Potter book to make me cry. This one takes a much darker turn than the first three, as the actual evil of Voldemort and his followers is more fully revealed. This is the first of the books that I didn't close with a satisfying feeling of "Well, THAT was fun!"... because it's pretty obvious that things are going to be a lot less fun from here on out.
