I fail to understand why high school English teachers continue to have their students plow through this book. It is a depressing book, with a whole lot of people at their worst. There are so many Dickens books that are better!

Tony Dungy, reluctant author, gives us a memoir that is a strong demonstration of faith and character that provides lessons for all of us. He is all about the fundamentals and community. Although this was a fairly quick read the message within rings true long after you close the book. Inspiring.

Another hit recommendation from Adrienne N. at the DN circ desk--VERY enjoyable and I can't wait to read the sequels. Thompson has the knack of a storyteller with humor occasionally akin to Pratchett's. Highly recommended :)

I began this book with great expectations, and was sadly let down. This is all just dragging out way to long I thought. Enough already, get to the end of the world. I thought the series would never end at this point. Then, I felt terrible when I learned of Jordan's passing. The series ended here I'm afraid, no matter who finishes it, it wont be Jordan, and therefore we will never fully know what would have become of this series.
