Philip K. Dick is a genius. I can't believe it took me so long to read his works. Literary science fiction, who knew? Well, millions of people, I'm a little late to the party, but I'm just ecstatic that I'm here. After Yiddish Policemen's Union this another welcome foray into alternate history. It was an interesting read, lots of great ideas and an amazing story. Not so sure about the ending though.

Started off annoying and pretentious. Then... I decided to accept the characters and story as an exaggeration of common themes, which allowed me to enjoy the book more. I ended up really liking the discourse on art and what is important in a life.

This is my favorite Agatha Christie book, and maybe my all-time favorite mystery. It is intriguing and creepy from the start, a literal page-turner. Christie's attention to detail and full-bodied introductions to each character immediately draw the reader in as we recognize (from our own list of characters in our own lives) and become acquainted with the "Ten Little Indians". Unlike many murder mysteries, the ending is plausible and satisfying. I'm not terribly intuitive nor much of a thinker, so I seldom can guess the outcome of mystery stories, and this one was no exception. I was engrossed and unsure right up to the reveal. Loved it. You will too.

It saddens me to read these reviews and realize that so many people have lost faith in dreams. The story is meant to be relatable, so I don't know why some people are looking for complexity that isn't necessary with a tale such as this one. Personally, I enjoyed reading this book, but to each his own.

This book really affected me in a way no book has. It is a different perspective on World War II, and it changes the whole way a person can look at the war. For a book lover like me, each time Liesel steals a book is an adventure, no matter where she takes it from. This story is beautifully written, and worth the time it takes to read.

Dorthy Gale is farm girl from Kansas whose house is carried away in a cyclone to the wonderful land of Oz. There she meets many interesting persons and creatures and a few companions along the way who follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City in hopes that the great and powerful Oz will grant their requests. I like this book, but at the same time I didn't. I think this is because some of the magical creatures such as the talking china dolls were unnecessary and got in the way for the real reason of the story, to get Dorthy back to Kansas with Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. Even so, I did enjoy reading the book that the beloved film was made out of and the creativity was amazing with the Flying Monkeys being controlled by a golden cap, the many shapes of the Wizard, from a ball of fire to a lovely lady and even though I didn't care for the china people they were still very imaginative. Lastly, the Oz books have a wonderful message, There's no place like home

This was better than Twilight and New Moon. The plot was coherent and consistent throughout the book. None of the characters annoyed me too much, although they were all right on the edge. It was interesting to be given more background on Jaspar and Rosalie. Both had a chance to tell their story in this book (in the interest of providing help and guidance to Bella, of course). The interaction between the werewolves and the vampires was interesting as well. Again, it was very easy to read and it leaves me wanting to read more (although I'm not exactly sure why, and that's slightly baffling to me).
