My Thoughts: Gracen Miller brought her “Road to Hell” Series in with a bang! Madison has quite a predicament on her hands when her 5 year old son Amos starts killing not only their animals, but also the neighbors. He even goes as far as attacking her. How could her son be a typical little boy one day and then pure evil the next? Let me tell you this is kid gives a new meaning to cringe worthy. Madison isn't about to give up on her little boy though and after numerous try's for help, she finally gets Georgie, who sends in the cavalry via the Birminghams. Phoenix, also known as Nix, is an infamous man whore to his family who develops a mutual attraction with Madison. Uncharacteristic of his reputation, Nix finds he respects Madison too much to “hit it and quit it” while Madison finds out not only is she currently married to the king of hell but part demon as well. This story was insane! I loved it from beginning to the end. As I stated, Amos in the beginning was cringe worthy, but you root for Mads as she tries to help her son. Eventually Amos chooses the good side over the evil. Mads is beautiful, and reserved, but soon her inner kick-ass appears with a side of sass. I fell in love with the whole Birmingham family with all their sarcastic Sherlock abilities. Micah, who is Mr. “King of Hell” himself, made me want to cringe at times, but then there would be an instance that I would think I could see a soft side to him, but only a smidgen, like at the end. Nix and Mads had me growling from time to time just because I knew how much they were meant to be, but were fighting it, except in an all important moment before a trip to hell. There you see what they may be like in bed. The ending had me at the edge of my seat in anticipation to see what is going to happen next. I have to say I loved this book. When you’re waiting for a book for so long, you always wonder if you will love it or if it wasn't worth the wait. This was sooooooo worth the wait until I had it in my hand. All in all, Gracen Miller took us for one Hell of a ride and I’m sure it’s only the beginning... So strap in and hang on, because you’re in for an adventure to Hell itself...Are you ready to SIN?

** spoiler alert ** When coroner Rachel finds an extremely handsome man on her autopsy table, she has no idea that he's a vampire--or that she's about to get caught in the crossfire. Etienne recuperates in time to see the pretty doctor bleeding to death from wounds she sustained saving his life and realizes he has no choice but to save her the only way he knows how--by turning her. Another good book, although Rachel is just a little too resistant to becoming a vampire for me. This book also has a lot of murder attempts and craziness, probably a bit too much for me.

I loved this book.... even just for the mere fact it was 976 pages long and it was well written and the story spans 40 years or something. I love any book that I can get engrossed in for a long time... (kind of like getting into some of the historical fiction series).

I learned so much about vineyards in this book even though it was classified as a "romance novel". She really researches her stuff. And as an avid lover of the vino I appreciated that.

What a quick, fun romance! I loved it--and that's saying something for a confirmed romance hater like me! Yes, the basic story is a bit predictable, but in the way you WANT a romance like this to be. You know right away who Jillian is going to end up with but the two steps forward, one step back toward a lasting relationship keeps the tension going. There were fun little twists, some corporate espionage, and issues with the "exes" to move your through the story. But it's Julie Wright's writing style, voice and characterizations that really keep you reading! I loved Jillian as a protagonist. She's clever and funny. Her internal dialogue was spot on and got more than one laugh out of me. The supporting characters were absolutely a hoot! Jillian's mother and aunt gave me laughing fits. Her boss was hilarious (unintentional on his part, but totally intentional on Julie Wright's). Her group of friends were absolutely believable. I could totally see this playing like a movie in my head as I read it. The only thing that didn't quite click with me was the fact that Jillian is 28. To me, that seemed just a bit old for the way she thought and behaved. 23-24, absolutely! Maybe even 25...but 28? I just couldn't picture it. So every time the book mentioned her age, I just pretended it was a typo. Despite that, in my opinion, this is Julie Wright's best book! Her writing style and voice is fun, fresh and light. I read the whole thing in one sitting! You'll love this book. Trust me. Read it!

Ending a book on a cliffhanger is usually fine, but this book takes the cliffhanger ending to an extreme. I was so disappointed that I decided not to continue the series, even though I enjoyed the rest of the book.

This is a really hard book to get into at first because of the time traveling/sci fi aspect. It is a little confusing and hard to follow. However, once you get past the first 100 pages it is a compelling story about love and it's boundaries.

This book is NOT for the faint of heart. It is an autobiography about a woman who grew up in various countries in Africa as a Muslin. It is gut wrenching, eye-opening, hard to read, and just when you think it cannot get any worse, it does. But she pulls through and makes drastic changes. Some of which I was slightly disappointed with. It inspired me to research more about the topics she discussed and be more devout in my own religion.

This story is the epitome of "Three's a crowd," especially when two of the three have very different personalities. Where Goose is calm, patient and enjoys peace and quiet, Thistle is loud, competitive and busy, busy, busy. This is a good book to read to children who are feeling competition or conflict in their friendships. We enjoyed reading this story together.
