Interesting interactive components. The plot is eerily Scooby Doo-like, but at least the Harlem Globetrotters and Three Stooges did not make a cameo in animated form. Back to the Mystery Machine!

Rating Clarification: 3.5 Stars ...I’ve realized that the one person who could break my heart is the only one who should have it... Just the Sexiest Man Alive has made me an instant fan of Julie James, and I will definitely continue to explore other books by this author. Despite the fact that I had to put aside the predictable plot and twists, as well as convenient courtroom drama, I found myself giving the storyline the flexibility it needed to deliver this highly entertaining romantic comedy. Jason Andrews and Taylor Donovan make a great pair of main characters. I enjoyed their snarky dialog and together they were both witty and charming enough to have me laughing out loud at their antics and conversations. I really liked Taylors’s ruthless nature and Jason’s melodramatic movie star tantrums where slightly charming...don’t ask...it just worked for me.^^ In this story, Taylor Donovan is temporarily relocated from Chicago to Los Angeles to work on a high profile court case for her law firm. She’s ruthless and ambitious, as well as a promising contender for a partnership in her firm. But, her goals and career trajectory take a sudden halt when her leading attorney places her on the Andrew’s Project, which involves coaching an A-list movie star Jason to help him prepare for an upcoming court based movie. The office staff is star-struck by this recently voted Sexiest Man Alive star, but Taylor sees past his invincible layers to find someone she can't help but fall in love with. Awww... :P I can see how some fans of James were a bit disappointed in the conclusion of this story, seeing as Taylor’s final decision seemed a bit out of character (view spoiler), but I can’t say that I didn’t see that coming and again I found myself giving this book the leeway it needed to move the romance along. So I was okay with her final decision. I think I was in the mood for something light and fun, so that can account for my willingness to accept the flow of the storyline. So, overall I really enjoyed this romcom and I will definitely try other books by this author. Fun read that was perfect timing for my book mood.

The third of the Power of Five series, takes us on a journey with the third and fourth gatekeepers, telepathic twins, Jamie and Scott Tyler. The story gets seriously complicated, and it is up to the reader to keep up, with three worlds to read about within this book, nothing will seem ovbious at first, but slowly the jigsaw puzzle starts fitting together, and only then does the reader become entranced, and know that the series is far from over. That we are possibly in for, two or three great more books. This book finally clashes with the modern day and ancient worlds. It will leave you thinking...that there could be a possibility, that all this, might be actually happening in our own world...and why not?....let's read book four....

Been reading this for a while - got about 3/4 of the way through before losing the will to read anymore (will force myself to finish it one day). The edition I have has such a shocking number of spelling and grammatical errors it makes for a very tedious read - if fact the editing was so appalling that I started compiling a list of all the ridiculous mistakes to send to the publishers. That said the story is actually very good but it's hard to concentrate on that considering the above edition - I have no idea whether or not this issue is prominent in all editions of the books or not (if someone has another copy and could enlighten me I'd be grateful).

If you liked Maus I and II, you will love this book. It has a similar style, but slightly less complicated (it does not jump between times very much, and never goes to present day). Marjane Satrapi's illustrations are at the same time both haunting and telling. There are very funny parts, especially for girls who remember going through some awkward phases in life (not the Kirby girls, of course). It follows Marjane's early life in a war-torn and politically intense Iran. I actually learned alot about the history of Iran, which I always appreciate. There is a second book out now that picks up where this one leaves off. I can't wait to read it! *Debbie*

Excellent read. Koontz does an excellent job of developing the characters in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and look forward to reading the next two in the series. I did not like the ending to the book, but only on an emotional level.

Heaven is boring. I don't know why, but they won't let me put up a blurb for Purgatorio, which I liked best.

I felt like this was a rather disappointing debut novel. The pacing was very odd and it felt like Lahiri was TELLING me a story instead of letting me read it myself. That being said, I find her writing to be incredibly beautiful and am unable to give it a bad review.

Even though I thought that this book stunk in the beginning, it turned out to be an okay book. I even cried toward the end. I still think that the couple that ended up together, didn't really seem to connect at all during the story. I might recommend this book if you need a light beach read with a 1 on the hotness scale.
