A really great informational book about backpacking. It covers a little about a lot of topics and has some fun little personal stories about peoples' experiences. It's also written specifically for women so it talks about all the things that are different for women like finding backpacks and physical training.

I just finished this ARC last night. There's only one instance where the editor REALLY needs to catch an error--it brought me to a screeching halt. The book kinda ends up in the air and other than Opal we see only Uncle Tobias (and talk to M&F and Flint on the phone), so this doesn't have the "feel" of the LaZelle novels. Plus I don't like Opal as much as Gypsum. It's an excellent book, though!

ok seriously, i LOVE this book (but i'm embarressed to admit it sometimes). the reason being that anita shreve's other books suck. it's always the same, married guy having an affair blah blah blah. but this book is like the culmination of all her writing talents...it's what she was trying to write all along. my favorite part is the last line to part 1 "he did not belong to her, he was never hers" which again is paralelled later in the book.

I was actually glad that I was sick for a couple of days. I had uninterrupted me time. So I decided to spend it with Bones. Time well spent. This is one of my favorite paranormal / uf series. I'll follow Cat and Bones anywhere. In One Grave at a Time we see more of the progression of Cat and Bones' relationship and vampire marriage. I am so glad that Frost decided not to do a love triangle in this series. Quite refreshing. It's nice to see a couple really work to have the trust that we see Cat and Bones have in this book. Unfortunately, I kind of felt that the couple lost some of their sexiness. But hey, that's what marriage does, doesn't it? Before anyone gets upset, I said *some* of their sexiness. Frost still knows how to write those scenes! This story seemed very self-contained, not a major piece in the entire arc of the series. At times I think the action got a bit redundant. Been there, done that, bad guy throws something else. Still fast paced and entertaining, though! At times I thought it could have been condensed into a novella. The ending was great! I loved the descriptions of what Cat went through. Truly horrifying! Many of our favorite characters make appearances, as always. A little more Ian this book, he had some great comic lines. Give that man his own book already, but I don't think I want him to find "the one." I love him as rogue and naughty boy. I liked the introduction of Tyler. He was hysterical, though a little too Lafayette from the True Blood show, not the books. Spade and Denise helped saved the Spade, and possessive Spade is sexy! There was a lot of set up for future books involving a new head of the secret ops division. We get to see Uncle Don some, but not enough. Again, I'm sure that is set up for future books. I liked the "ghostbusters," but they were in the action one minute, out the next. This series is definitely a guilty pleasure. It was a really good read, fantastic writing and great characters that I continue to fall more and more in love with. Probably 3.5 stars, but I'll round up for Bones' sake!

I say this knowing it sounds bad, but meaning it as a reason to definitely read this book. William Peter Blatty did an amazing job scaring the bejesus out of me
