I like these books for good little brainless books as in between books. I can read a couple chapters and then leave it for a couple weeks and come back to it and remember exactly what is going on. Not a ton of depth but still a cute little chick flick type book!

The second time I tried to read this book, I finished it. Perhaps in part because I found it more palatable, but also in part just so I could get it over with. I can see the (limited) value in Miller's book and why it is so highly thought of in some circles. But while he had a few good stories, I did not enjoy his style or manner of approaching issues (these of course are personal opinions), and I felt that there was little point to the book. To be honest, he frustrates me more than he inspires. Even the sub-title "Nonreligious thoughts on Christian spirituality"...really? He tries SO hard to be unpretentious that it almost becomes pretentious and annoying. Again, some good stuff between the pages, but I was plowing through as fast as I could to get to my next read. I'm truly glad that this book can be so monumental for some people, but it just did not have that effect on me.

For ladies that are single this an awesome tool to aid you in weeding out the weeds trying to get up in your garden.
