This is the best of the three. Being chased and the suspense make this an excellent read.

Dr McWhiney was my advisor in college back in the early 1970's. FINALLY - I found a copy of his book. As is true with most people, Braxton Bragg was neither all good nor all bad. YES - he was not a good field commander BUT he was a master of organization. What impressed me was how McWhiney presented both the pros and cons of Bragg's abilities or lack of abilities by using a wealth of primary source materials. In the hands of McWhiney we see Bragg as a complex man whose flaws contributed to the eventual defeat of the CSA.

Probably a must read if you're working with OpenId as anything other than a simple plug-in for your website. Rafeeq does a fair job of walking the reader through the most common scenarios and a few that a not so common, like enterprise deployment. I'm in the process of writing a dotnet version of an OpenId provider and this book has been a great reference. As far as a technology, I think OpenId is a good idea for social websites and combined with something like OAuth can give a complete package for simple authorization and user management. However, I don't think it's a good idea to deploy it as an intranet or inner-enterprise tool [like I'm doing now, but that's just the way it works sometimes]. I think SAML is probably a better solution in that environment. However, if you find yourself in my situation, and you need a reference to make OpenId work in an enterprise solution or you need to turn OpenId into an Single Source Sign-on solution, it can't hurt to give Rafeeq's book a read. The examples in the book are in PHP, but it's not difficult to figure out what's going on. I wasn't able to find the source code for the examples though, because most of the websites referenced in the book are now completely gone. However, there seem to be a lot of open source OpenId libraries. A little searching on the web and you should be able to find almost anything you need to meet your OpenId needs. [The book is getting 3 stars because of the all the dead links.]

This author is amazing and writes incredible sentences! I always go back and read the first chapter of a book after I'm done reading it because I never get everything from that chapter the first time through. You need to do that with this book. Its not a happy book though, its sort of a downer. I guess you can't ever look at anyone's life from afar and assume they are living a good life.

Stephen King has added to his long list of terrific novels with 11/22/63. This was not only a great time travel story, but an interesting love story as well. His descriptions of everyday life in the late 1950s and early 1960s were spot on, and his characters were people you came to really care about in this novel. Another sucess for Mr. King!

This book was amazing. I was actually on the edge of my seat at the end, worried about the fate of the book. It was completely fascinationg and absorbing.

I love President Hinckley. I think one of the legacies he left with me is all the encouragement he gave the women of the church. He always shared that he knew we were doing a great job as mothers, wives, and sisters, but asked if we could strive to be a little better. The quotes are taken from talks he has given over the years and are paired with beautiful photos on each page. A book that could be easily read over and over. A gem of a book!
