Ok, I co-authored two chapters, so yes, I think everyone should read it. But really, I don't get paid anything from it, but I thought it was interesting. Of course I would though, or else I wouldn't have devoted so much time. A group of us, along with the Center for Comparative Immigration studies at UCSD, interviewed nearly an entire town in rural Mexico. They were last interviewed 10 years before, right when the new border enforcement policies were taking effect in the US, so we had a benchmark to check to see how migration patterns and attitudes had or had not changed. My favorite conversations did not make it in the book, but maybe someday. They were with an older woman who remembered the last group who came to interview. She was one of the few who stayed behind, because nearly everyone leaves this town. As I was told, the only reason you wouldn't leave is because you are too old, too sick, or "too female". Money is sent back from the US, paying for the satellites dishes, the one mansion, etc. I was told it is the elderly who take turns sweeping the streets, or else it would never get done. One man who is working to get his green card has not been to the US in 6 years (or else it would halt the process if he's caught) and his daughters are growing up without him here. He told me quite literally that during most of the year, you could "take a dump" in the middle of the street and it wouldn't matter. No one is there to see. (Except you'd probably be the one who had to clean up anyway.)

When I first started reading this book, I was pretty disappointed, as it seemed to be setting up a very bland and unimaginative fantasy story. However, I was relieved to find it soon turned into a real page-turner. It's easy to read, not too dark and is written in a nice jovial tone. The characters are also very likeable. If you're looking for a book that doesn't take itself too seriously, this is the one for you. This is the first book in K.E. Mills' (AKA Karen Miller) Rogue Agent series and I can honestly say I can't wait the second Rogue Agent book to come out!

Took me a lot more time then usual to finish the read, and felt that maybe my personality cant truly enjoy a quiet family life as the subject, but it has the feeling of a quiet family life should be, little bitter but wind-like.

I learned so much about my biology via this book. It brought me to tears, I was so amazed by what I didn't know. Fertility Awareness Management is not for everyone in that it takes a committed partnership and a lot of work. However, I think it is something that every female should learn about in their life. Even if you weren't to use it as birth control (or for baby making), it would teach you so much. My sister used it for baby making and I used it for birth control. Nowadays I'm so gay and single that I don't use it.
