Demille is like a conspiracy theorist who takes real life events involving trajedies such as 9/11 etc. and gives the reader a novel that mixes fiction and intrigue. I have a hard time puting his books down once I start. I think I have read them all to date. The Gold Coast and The Charm School are my personal favorites.

I loved this book. The writing is difficult at fist but addictive once you get used to it. The book is witty and humorous in a very dry and subtle sort of way. I really like the contrast between the development of the two main characters and the extremely flat and often over-the-top type-casts of the other characters. Apparently this book is also the key to understanding women, though I can't say it helped much in that area.
