I liked the concept of this story, but the execution was lacking. I could have read maybe the first five chapters and then just skipped to about chapter thirty-three where a bit more action started to finally happen and finished the book from there and I wouldn't really have missed anything suberbly important. I do believe this might just be one instance where the movie will be way better than the book.

I liked this one better than Eragn because I felt it brought out more about the characters. I enjoyed learning all about the Elves and learning more about Eragon's past and family.

I always love watching Giada's television shows on Food Network. Her cookbooks are a great way to bring more of her delicious recipes into the home. Everyday Pasta contains all sorts of recipes that use the Italian staple of pasta, in all its shapes and sizes. I tried a few of the recipes from the book, and they tasted great. But then pretty much every dish I've made from Giada's recipes tasted good.

As much as I love these books, I’m really starting to feel as if they are getting repetitive. Each book is the same: Stephanie finds out she’s in over her head with her next FTA, she and Morelli develop their love-hate relationship, she traipses around with Lula and Grandma Mazur, going back and forth through town, she gets harassed by a creepy man, her car blows up, and she ends up finally capturing her FTA, wth a little bit of help from Ranger or Morelli. That’s the basic outline of every novel, and it’s starting to get old. They're enjoyable! But it's hard to read too many at a time, I'm finding.

I didn't like it. I'm sorry, Linda, but I couldn't handle all the emoting. Maybe I've gotten cranky in my old age. Maybe I see a little too much of my younger, more irritating self in the main character. In anycase, there will not be a second chance for Paint It Black.

This is a difficult book to read. Not only is the topic a painful one but written by a General it is also very technical with many military terms and abbreviations. The personal story fades a bit but I don't think Dallaire is able to allow all the personal experiences to surface. I wouldn't. What this book does is to reveal the cynical political play that countries play with peoples lives as bricks. There are many counties and politicians who should be ashamed!!
