I enjoyed reading this book. The language is very poetic and simply reading it was enjoyable regardless of the story, plot, characters, etc. It made me slow down mentally and made me want to read every word, catch every nuance, and there aren't many books that do that for me. In that sense, I absolutely loved the book. Now I want to go back and read Hamlet again.

This book had me laughing all the way through. Aisling is a ditzy girl working as a courier for her uncle. Her first job is to deliver a package to Paris but finds herself in all sorts of mess. She becomes the main suspect in a few murders and is hiding out from the cops while trying to clear her name. Along the way she discovers she is a Guardian and learning what that entails. She finds out that she is a Wveryn mate to a dragon named Drake, whom she finds irresitable but also arrogant. She summons a demon "dog", becomes a Demon Lord and Venediger. This book was action packed with Aisling getting into a whole lot of trouble. I can't wait to read the rest of the series and see where Aisling and Drake's relationship heads.
