The first time I read this, it didn't really ping me as one of her better efforts, but I keep coming back to it, so there's something there that's speaking to me. I still think it's more contrived than her others--in those, the big cast of characters are already together--but I find myself unreasonably happy that things work out the way they do.

I liked this much better than Da Vinci Code. It is the prequel and just better.

Interesting how this bridges the storyline of the Fever series, and Cian's dilemma is compelling.

A collection of gritty short stories about young Dominican men's experiences coming of age in both the Dominican Republic, New Jersey and New York. The tales' immigrant experiences include absent fathers, drug-use, interracial dating, and shoplifting. Diaz's voice is passionate and captivating. I will definitely be checking out his recently released novel.

Not as great as "Heartbreaking..." but very human and readable.

Loved this book. The format was different and interesting, a collection of letters, and the story was great. Plus, it was really interesting to learn about the Nazi occupation in the Channel Islands. Fantastic read.

Kiss the Girls is one of the Alex Cross series of novels. Alex is an African-American detective with a PhD in Psychology and a knack for profiling serial killers. In this story he must track down two serial killers working in conjunction, Casanova and The Gentleman Caller. One notable feature of Kiss the Girls and other James Patterson tomes are the memorable titles. For instance, all of the Cross novels have names which include words taken from nursery rhymes. Kiss the Girls, Along came a Spider, Jack and Jill, and Pop goes the Weasel are a few of them. All one has to do is see the title to automatically know it is a Patterson/Cross book. I have learned the importance of a “catchy title” and will spend more time considering them when writing my own stories.
HO-ly Shit! Totally hooked and moving on to book 3!...and yes, I cried during this audiobook reading.

I just picked this (The Indian Bride) up (I think?), but the title I have is "Calling Out For You!" I am in Canada, but it seems to be a British publication. I quite enjoyed it. I am coming to realize that Karin Fossum is a somewhat emotional writer, or at least writes stories of an emotional nature. I find I become more involved with some of her characters. Recommended.

Rather straightforward writing by Mr Jeremy. Mostly funny, sometimes interesting, but really won't add any value to your life.
