pls follow me for more booksreview www.ficbookreviews.blogspot.com I'm finished with this book and What can I say with it? this one is off the hook. though, there are some swearing and some intimate scenes I only recommend this for young adults. Anyway, moving on, Jules is your ordinary typical high school student who kicks vampires, werewolves and halfdemons butts at night with her girlfriends, Sacha, Z, Margo and Dani -her bestfriend. These girls put a spell on them called Reveal and then kill them with a stake. Meaning they hunt them once they are told of by the nasty lady leader of the coven.which is unfortunately Jules crush-turned-to-be-bf's mother. you see, the coven works for the Demons. but theres far more unthinkable beyond that, as the story moves on the secrets unfolds of why these teenager girls has to do the dirty work. There you go, i don't want to give away too much.. lol. the story was funny and intense that will keep you on reading. I loved being inside Jules mind. the plot was good loved the characters specially Jules and Danny. I'm not sure if there was a book 2 but I wish it has because it kept me wanting for more of Jules newly found romance. anyway all and all its really good. Recommended.

Reading through some other reviews it occurs to me that this isn't as well written as I thought - if so many people, not unused to reading, can miss the point! Still gets 5 stars though. One of the best modern examples of unreliable narration.

4 1/2 stars!!Oh how I love this author! Another engaging, heartwarming, funny and very erotic book by Barbara Elsborg. You just get drawn into her stories from the first page, they grab you and don’t let go. She just has a way with lost souls and uses humor and passion to weave a compelling story. This one had a little more of a suspenseful feel as someone one was trying to kill the quirky, delightful, good-to-the bone, Ally. I wanted to reach into the pages of the book and wrap my arms around the pitiful, but scrumptious Caspar. Not to worry, Ally did a great job of consoling him by wrapping her arms, legs, lips…oh just her entire body around him. HOT STUFF!! So much fun dialogue, terrific secondary characters, a plot filled with trademark craziness, and of course passion galore! My reason for detracting a half a star was that the ending was a bit too abrupt for me and I wish there was some more closure where some of the characters were concerned. Still in all a great read by one of my favorite authors. You can’t go wrong with a Barbara Elsborg book!

How can a book about cellular research be such a page turner? The author wove the story about Hela cells into the story about the involuntary donor of the cells, Henrietta Lacks, in a way to make it impossible to get the Lacks family out of my head. The family suffered such a terrible loss during a time when medical standards and procedures put little thought or care into the patient or the patient's family...and even less if they were black. This is an incredible story told in an incredible way, and I highly recommend this story to everyone because there is no one alive today who has not benefited in some way from Henrietta's cells.
