I'd like to clarify that, while Jane Eyre stands undefeated as My Favourite Best Book of All Time Ever It Is So Awesome, this particular edition (The Illustrated Jane Eyre) only gets three stars from me. There were numerous typos; I didn't really feel like the artist they chose jibed with the story itself; several of the illustrations didn't match up to details within the story. I was sad! I wanted to love it.

My teens really enjoy this series, but I had never read any of the series myself. I decided to go ahead and just read this volume since it was nominated for the Great Graphic Novels for Teens list this year. While reading it, however, I got very frustrated and confused since I wasn't familiar with any of the characters and their relationships with each other. Eventually, I started reading volume 1 of the manga and also started watching the anime. I find the manga so-so, but am really enjoying the anime series. In fact, between yesterday and today, I'm already on Episode 6 of the anime. I think the series deserves to be on the list because so many of my teens love it, but I'm not sure volume 11 by itself does.

من روائع الدكتور علي الوردي لاول مرة اقرأ كتاب مثل هذا الكتاب هو في الواقع ملخص بحث عن العبقرية والتفوق والنجاح ومايسميه العامة بالحظ وتأثير الحوافز اللاشعورية على ضوء النظريات العلمية فالكاتب يطرح افكار كثيرة تتعلق بالقدرات الخارقة لبعض البشر والتي تثير الدهشه والعجب فهذا الكتاب من وجهة نظري يوسع مدارك القارئ ويبرز اهمية القوة التي يملكها الانسان والكامنة في عقله الباطن او اللاشعور وان هذه القوة هي مصدر الابداع ومنبع العبقرية من خلال اسلوب د الوردي البسيط والمحبب للقارئ تعرفت على كثير من النظريات والابحاث في هذا الجانب احسست في بعض المواقع ان هناك الكثير من الاسهاب والاطالة المبالغ فيها والتي قد تصيب القارئ بالملل خاصة عند ضرب كثير من الامثله حول موضوع واحد تفاجأت من عدد القراء الذين اما ان يكونوا قرأوا الكتاب او اضافوه لقرأنهم المستقبليه عدد كبير جدا ولا الومهم ففي اعتقادي كل مايكتبه د علي الوردي يستحق القراءة

So. This is the third review for this book I've given, thanks to my own idiocy and the dastardly goodreads.com website. It's good enough that I'm writing the review a third time, does that mean anything to you? I mean, the damn thing has an average rating of 8?! I thought there were only five stars? If lit-up little pictures can't convince you, I don't know what will. The cliffnotes version of my first two failed attempts to review this stupid thing is as follows: read the book. It will make you look and feel smart when you are probably just an idiot.
