I wasn't too sure when I started reading this book if I would enjoy it or not, but I ended up loving the crazy misfit witch Tammy Jo and her crazy antics that always seem to get her into trouble. I cannot wait for more books by this author.

There were tests of love, friendship and loyalty as the Lords had to make unselfish choices for the each other and the ones they loved. I feel so bad for Paris. He made the biggest sacrifice of all choosing his friend over his own happiness. I’m hoping he gets his own book because that would definitely be a good one

I really loved this book. Except for one big thing. At the end it felt like someone told her she had to wrap up now, and she pushed it to have an ending. I know there is a squeal coming, but I still think it could have been not as rushed at the end.

So if I took this book to be the definition of mankind this is what I would have learned: When you are in middle school you are sad and troubled and overly concerned about the world, when you are in high school you are smarter than all adults and you only think about sex, when you are an adult you still only think about sex but you are now crazy and have no emotional connection to anything/one. I liked Langer's style of writing and I enjoyed how the stories overlapped and intricately tied together. But as for the actual story lines, I hated all the characters and couldn't wait for each person's story to be over. The only respectable person among the bunch was Muley. I would have read a book entirely about him and could have done without the rest of the characters. Plus the book was about 200 pages too long overall. So it was okay, but I would never read it again. The sexual references were so unnecessary to the story and frankly they were distracting.

This book is exceptional; I didn't want to put it down and I was sad when it ended. Nicole Krauss uses language beautifully. Occasionally I found the way she plays with punctuation a bit "precious," but other than that, I LOVED this book.
