Do not need to read book 4 comin spring 2012. The plot was confusing and dragged on too long. Luce and Daniel are together at the end of book 3, so good enough for me.

I think Ms. Jordan's story is well crafted and her use of language suits the story, its pace and its setting. That said, I found myself frustrated by the method of story telling. By using the alternate narrators, the book felt more like a play, with characters trading spots on an empty stage. Occasionally, that stage would light up and show actual dramatic action (this was strongest in the beginning burial scene, and the ending scenes.) But by and large, much of the story simply took place through subjective narration -- with the effect of keeping the reader at a distance. I understand Ms. Jordan is going to go to a third person narrator for her next novel (she hints as much in the back of the book interview,) and I will look forward to reading that book. Hillary Jordan is obviously a talented writer with an appreciation for telling important and controversial stories.

Bentley has chosen him though he seems to fear the mutt and she keeps hearing the bells. Still Connor is nice if only Lilly wanted someone else like Nick for instance. NORAH'S ARK is a pleasant optimistic Christian romance starring an upbeat somewhat innocent (too naive around men) protagonist and a cast of eccentrics starting with her matchmaking canine and a horde of other two legged, four legged, and no legged animals). The fast-paced breezy story line will provide fans of Judy Baer with plenty of entertainment from start to finish as the audience will wonder just who will win the Norah sweepstakes. The novel lives up to its classic second line "HAVE YOU HUGGED YOUR IGUANA TODAY?" as a fun filled tale.

It was a fascinating book about his long life in public service, although not very well-written or entertaining. It was a great insight into 20th century conservativism; Hoover would have loved the Tea Party. Hoover's emphasis on individualism and free enterprise were very much part of growing up on the rugged plains of Iowa and forests of Oregon, but he clung to those ideas despite incredible changes in the world.
