As I read more and more commentary on The Little Prince, I'm beginning to understand it and appreciate it more. And of course, the man and experiences behind it are fascinating.

Got this book at a library book sale for 50 cents. I didn't realize that Shatner had written any books so I figured I'd give the Priceline Negotiator a try. It was ok. It's a quick and easy read and he stuck to his sci-fi roots. If you've got nothing better to do, give it a shot.

I read this for one of my classes and it was a quick read. I enjoyed it because Kingdon talks a lot about the unique historical ideology of the United States, which I had studied for my senior thesis in undergrad. It was a very nice review of something that took up a significant portion of a year of my life. It was also interesting to see how Kingdon connected this ideology to America's "unusual" political system and structure.

I liked this one the best so far. I'm looking forward to the 4th just to bring the whole thing to the end. I think Edward and Bella's relationship is completely unhealthy at the beginning of this one--him kidnapping her rather than letting her have any friends. However, I'm starting to appreciate him a little more when he relinquished his control and stopped being so possessive of her. She's still a total drip. One thing I still can't figure out is why the teenage girls don't like Jacob. He seems a whole lot better than Edward to me. Maybe the 4th book will reveal why they dislike him so. Andrea's book club choice for January 2010.

different heroes, same great breath taking story telling: adventure, discovery, loves won and lost. Another story you won't want to put down. this one is about england during the late Roman Empire (cc 300 A.C.E.)

Whenever anyone asks me what his book is about, I have a hard time coming up with a premise for it. "The Corrections" is definitely character-centered, leaving the plot with not much of a lopsided triangle (for those of you who are familiar with that climax pyramid). But I don't want undersell this book. The characters (a mom and dad and their three adult children) in this book are so perfectly rendered in their thoughts and mannerisms that they comprise the typical not-so-perfect family. "The Corrections" is a reminder that most people in this world are depressed and struggling to put on a happy face and not succumb to utter self-loathing.

This was mildly interesting. Not a lot of action and not much of a plot. The characters are enjoyable, however, and the book moves at a fairly good pace. Not high on the list of recommendations as a page turner.

Sigh. Frankly, I don't give a damn.
