the legacy of luna, was a fine read. however it is not about the moon as i thought. once i fought through all the spiritual red tape and such, which could be a turn of for some people. however once i got past that i realized that she is a brillant person, fighting for a cause i have long favored. the story how julia she started out an uneducated activist to how she became at the forefront of the movement is interesting. she won here battle through will power, and by being really smart. i do not know how she survived. i would recomemd the book. it is a good quick read.

A boy whose father has predicted will live out the oedipal complex – finds that his father has been murdered and his memory of the night in question is gone. A surreal metaphysical journey to love and self discovery follow as the underage youth runs away to find a new life. After a hand job from a woman who may be his sister he finds his way to a job in a library with a hermaphrodite and an elderly woman destined to become his first love. We also follow a “slow” protagonist whose disability may prove troublesome when speaking with others, but it enables him to communicate with most cats. His side job is finding lost kitties, and in the course of tracking one down- he meets with and kills evil personified (Johnny Walker aka the boy’s dad). The end of the slow man’s quest and the end of the boy’s love that crosses the bounds of time coincide with opening and closing of the gateway/portal stone that enables the boy visit a seemingly timeless alternate dimension. Trapped in this place are also two soldiers from WWII. My synopsis does not begin to do justice to the book which does justice to its namesake Kafka in utilizing the bizarre and surreal. This is a great novel.
