interesting book involving suicide. Very realistic and grounded if not especially powerful.

When it comes to the story line, it seems that much of Eragon is ripped off from other authors (as many people have already pointed out) and, in talking about the writing itself, a lot of it is just not that high in quality. So why not rate it lower? Despite all of its faults it was still an entertaining book to read. Other than that, it is nothing worth seeking out.

wow, just wow. there is NO possible way to get around the fact that i really, really cant stand the way LJ Smith writes (no offence i have read better written books from 12 year olds). i dont mind third person but her characters lack depth and so does her writting. she writes like many writers who were popular in the mid-ninties, Elizabeth Chandler . . . but when you come back to it, there is nothing that origanil about her books. i will give you think, she has potential to write world wide famous novels but she just doesn't. the books are written on a fourth grade reader level and the plots just dont make since. i have TRIED so very hard to like this writter, believe me. when CW came out with Vampire Diaries i jumped the gun to get the books and i tried. but all i have to say is: Elena is the most selfish, spoiled rotten, shallow, manipulative butthead i have EVER read about. i will give you this, she did change a LITTLE as the books went on but i still felt like she was made of card baord. the charcters are steryoptypical and cardboard. the writing is atrocous. but i did try. believe when i found out about Vampire Diaries, i was excited because i normaly like things vampirey but this didn't do it for me. if you are looking for an annoying heroine Elena Gilbert takes the cake.

This book is one of the best romances of all time. Who doesn't want a guy who wants to protect and take care of you. Plus it doesn't have the crude love making scenes that some other romance novels have. I loved this book and have read it again and again.

This wasn't a great book. The story line was very interesting, and I think it really had great potential to be a good book. However the story was just lacking something. The author didn't take much time to develop the characters, which is really important in a story like this that’s essentially about intersecting lives and how decisions can have far reaching affects. It just needed some more of those little details that make a book a touching story.

My grandmother wanted me to read this way back when I was in high school, but I just didn't have time to read then. It was fun to get into their way of talking and a very good story more than I thought it would have, given the title.

Max's birthday party was supposed to be held outdoors, but the sudden rain kept everyone inside. When he, Erin, and April are exploring Max's attic while waiting on Erin's mom to come pick Erin and April up, they stumble across a hidden room containing an old mirror. When the light atop the mirror is turned on, whoever is standing in front of it vanishes--turned invisible! That's strange enough, but when Max has been invisible for too long, he starts to feel odd, like the mirror is pulling him in. Could there be more to this mirror than meets (or doesn't meet) the eye? The sixth book in R. L. Stine's Goosebumps series, Let's Get Invisible! offers a much more fantastical story than the previous book, The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb . Max is concerned about whether the mirror is really safe, but his friends only seem interested in competing to see who can stay invisible the longest, and his little brother, Lefty, only wants to use it to pull pranks. Let's Get Invisible! is at least as well written as the previous book in the series, with a more interesting story. The characters didn't grab me as well as Gabe and Sari in The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb, but they're not bad--though I admit it took me a few pages to realize that the girl nicknamed 'Mouse' wasn't the shy one. That's what I get for making assumptions. (Spoilers removed. The full review, including spoilers, is available here.) Let's Get Invisible! is a good book, with a different kind of horror than the usual monsters-and-danger kind. It doesn't seem to be available for the Kindle, but it's not hard to get it used, so you can still read it, if you like. Give it a try!
