My favorite section was III, which features prose poems. My favorite of those was "Fixing the Foot: On Rhythm." "Islands" and "Old World" also stood out. As for the rest of the poems in this collection, I found them to be rather boring or difficult to understand. Lots of poems were set overseas or took place many decades ago. A few that I did like: "Unholy Saturday" "On Me!" "Library Days" (simply for the title) "Two Voices" (has a killer ending) "Burial Rites"

Great title and terrific premise--loved "Flowers for Algernon". Not my favorite from Lauren Myracle, though. She's done so much.

I really liked this novel- an interesting perspective on Hemingway's first wife and their time in Paris- it made me want to read more Hemingway, especially A Movable Feast.

This was okay. I found the lengthy discourses on Wilde's personal philosophy dull and pointless, though.

This is a series that gets better with each book. This final book was much better than the first, in my opinion. Good series.

This is one I recommend, and have yet to have anyone disappointed by it. It is reminiscent of "Practical Magic" by Alice Hoffman. Two sisters, both with some supernatural abilities. One wild, one staid. The difference is that the story is set in a little southern town where most of the inhabitants have some sort of special ability. An apple tree is one of the characters. If you eat an apple from it, you will have a vision of the most important event of your life. However, it's not always good to know your fate. This is a diverting, well written novel. Will it change the world? Probably not. But if you need a good beach or by-the-fire book, this admirably fits the bill.

John Green is just wonderful...he combines teen humor, anxiety, hormones, and peril with an intelligence that I love. Where Looking for Alaska was a bit of a downer this is a complete upper! Have a I mentioned that I love John Green??? I am proud to say that I am a founding member of the LFPL John Green groupie club!

A standard Alex Delaware novel; a fun, easy read. Good, predictable author for escapist fiction.

Loved it! This might be my very favorite in the whole series. Sherlock and Mary are in San Fransisco to take care of Mary's properties. While there Mary starts to remember things from her past, things she'd chosen to forget. As they look into the death of Mary's family, they start to realize it may not have been an accident. I love the story, the setting, and as always , I LOVE Mary and Sherlock. King ventures outside her norm here and tells some of the story through a third person view, mostly following Sherlock. As much as I love Mary, it was a fun change. She also includes the character of Dashiell Hammett which made it super fun. I would suggest reading The Maltese Falcon or any of his Hammett's other books before reading this, just because it will make even more enjoyable. King did an excellent job channeling the classic PI lingo that Hammett made famous. If you feel the need to skip any of the other books in the series, you can read this one at any point, doesn't matter.
