An interesting story about how we have to live with our choices, even ones that may have taken us down the "wrong" road. The prose was a bit flat at points, and my interest would lag at places though.

Creepy and imaginative. Coraline doesn't work as well for adults, but is a fine read for adolescents. One of the rare books that I actually enjoyed more in movie form (even if they did add a little boy) but I still went back to reread the book after seeing the movie.

This is more of a two-and-a-half star book than a 3. But, the last 100 pages, detailing the events surrounding Lady Jane Gray's life as Queen and subsequent death, were fascinating...so that's what drives my three star rating, rather than a two. As for the rest of the book, it was too slow moving for me. I also had trouble keeping track of all the characters--too many Catherines, Marys, Elizabeths, and Janes. The family tree at the beginning of the book was helpful, but what I really needed was a flowchart on every page.
