This is my favorite Palahniuk book, perhaps because I read it first. (Some of his other books feel formulaic to me.) The audio version is great to, esp. since Palahniuk reads it himself. He's got some bizarre concepts (living history farm, the genetic offspring of Jesus, sex addicts' anonymous) in here, and he handles them all deftly.

Great thriller trilogy. Great plot, characters, story and awesome read. Quality of writing is so-so, which could be related more to translation. However, quality of characters and story carry the series making it worth the time and effort.

Man. Talk about stream-of-consciousness. This book was a fun and funny read about Dave Egger's life after his parents died. There were touching and heartfelt moments, but it was all told with wit and verve. He courageously put it all out there. I definitely identified with the mind-wandering, morbid-fantasizing, inappropriate-wondering train of his thoughts at any and all times. A book I definitely suggest, although I did need the occasional break from it.

This was my favorite book as a young elementary schooler. I read anything spooky I could get my hands on! I love the inside illustrations- but miss the original book cover illustration. Why do they always have to change the cover in newer editions?

This book, er, graphic novel, was amazing. It hit home for me in so many ways, from the description of small town life to the death of her father (my uncle died in a similar fashion for similar reasons) to coming to terms with my own sexual identity.
