Apparently Goodreads only has the French translation; I read it in Norwegian. I enjoyed more in the beginning than towards the end. Still a good read though.

As a story, this adventure novel is kind of lame. But as an illustration of a philosophy, this book is fantastic. I really liked the philosophy behind this book; I felt that it rang true to me. I would recommend this book to everyone, especially if you liked "The Secret." (If you haven't seen The Secret, that's a whole different conversation.) I don't want to try to explain the philosophies here; just go read this book. I think you'll like it.

Really pretty badly written book. The story is pretty interesting. The location of the story is exotic and some of the issues raised (development, resource plundering, global warming) are certainly important in our current world. Th characters are flimsy cutouts. It seems to be constructed by formula Lush tropical description. Sexy females. Dastardly villains. Noble natives.Finished book just to find out the resolution. Lesson learned ? Don't expend any energy ever again reading anything else by this author.
