¿Vale la pena comprar por tercera vez esta obra? A 20$, sí, de cabeza. No porque sea un coleccionista compulsivo, ni porque la genial Año Uno sea una de mis obras favoritas, sino porque es la manera más barata de coleccionar "Los Hombres Monstruo", obra de la que me hablaron muy bien pero que jamás leí. No sé si me la devoraré entera o iré directamente al capítulo final, lo seguro es que cuando lo termine le escribiré su correspondiente reseña. De todos modos, lo dejo leído (aunque sea mentira que lo haya leído íntegramente en esta edición) para no seguir sumando to-reads a mi ya infinita lista. De momento le dejo 4 estrellitas porque la edición está muy bonita y trae de regalo "El hombre que ríe", que no me parece particularmente buena pero que está muy bien que venga de regalo.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book; the story, the setting, the characters and the outcome. Not one on Koryta's Lincoln Perry series (which I also like), but it would be fun to see more of this main character, Frank Temple III.

Just finished reading this mystery novel. L.J. Sellers has a strong writing style that kept me reading. She paced the story and let the tension and suspense rise gradually until there was no way to stop reading. I didn't necessarily agree with the author's point of view, or rather the point of the story, but the story was well presented.

Pretty good. This one had significant amounts of the hero's POV which is not normal for HPs written in the 1980s. The characters could have been slightly better fleshed out. For example she had a masters in some sort of marine biology but was working as a nightclub singer. It did say that jobs in marine biology were hard to come by but there was not discussion of why then she choose to sing. If her voice was so wonderful, had she had training? Had she never considered going that route on purpose? Did she love music? What? So those sorts of things were missing. He didn't like or trust women because of how his mother had been but other than that we don't know much about him other than he was pretty flowery spoken when it came to her. Kind of a melodramatic feeling and the kind of melodrama that appeals to young girls. But at least he came to the realization that she was not a 'ho without proof via hymen. So that's good. A decent read but not a keeper.
