جمال الغيطاني عامل زي الدوا اللي بتاخده و هو مُر عشان انت عارف إنه مفيد لك و غالبا بيبقى مفيد على الجانب اللغوي أكتر منه مفيد روائياً و حتى المره دي ، ده محصلش روايه أغلبها يبدو تقني/عسكري لم استطع استعابه أو تكوين صورة واضحة عنه .. ربما أيضاً بسبب ان الكاتب نفسه لم يهتم بالوصف التفصيلي (اللي غالبا بردو مكنتش هافهمه) فقط الجزء الذي يدور على لسان أبو الفضل و زوجة الرفاعي هو ما يبدو حقيقياً و قريب و إنساني

Reviews often cite a lack of characterization, but I thought Tartt did an excellent job exploring how Richard, Charles, Henry, etc. were transformed by their actions. A study of the college life as much as the anatomy of a murder. Pick it up - you won't regret it.

I learned everything I ever wanted to know about the history of the woods from this book. Tom Wessels does a great job of making science accessible and also is a beautiful writer. The illustrations are to die for as well, but that's someone else. mmm. If I could read this book every day I'd be a happy camper.

This was an interesting book, but it was so long. I don't usually mind long books if they're long for a reason (if it actually contributes to the story, which I felt a lot of the novel did not). I finished reading it to find out what all the hype was about. I didn't regret reading it, but I wish it had been shorter. It also had very funny parts, which is another reason I didn't mind finishing it.

Plenty of drug use and abuse here, along with big doses of codependent behavior and distorted thinking. But as one-time husband George Jones says, without some sadness, tragedy and failure, it is hard to sing about those with feeling. Those who don't want the dirt on Wynette's abuse of pain meds should avoid this one.
