I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You was a pretty fun read with not as much intensity as James Bond and Indiana Jones, but it definitely has its girlish charms! I think sometimes the spy stuff was laid on a little thick, but some of the spy gear and how the girls overreacted to the "normal" world was pretty entertaining! When you first get used to the Academy, it reminded me a lot of Hogwarts without the magic and ghosts - but perhaps a lot more secret passageways. The ending seemed to rush as the excitement and suspense all rolled into each other as the Gallagher Girls embarked on their CoveOps finals and Cammie decides if Josh should know that she is actually not a "normal" home-schooled, cat-loving girl who likes to pass notes via a loose brick on the wall. I really liked how the girls would apply their spy skills to scouting Josh out and figuring out if he liked Cammie. It was pretty amusing to see them try to decipher "boy talk," and certainly any girl can relate to that, spy or not. See more complete review here

I had very high expectations for this book thus I was surprised when it took me awhile to get into it. I wavered between rating this a 3 and a 4 because the first 1/3 of the book was a definite "3" for me... I just could not get into the characters or the plot (even though I think it's an extremely unique and interesting premise). But, it definitely picked up steam and by the end I was not wanting to put it down. I thought the ending was fabulous and not at all what I would've expected.

Okay... I LOVE deconstruction and difference, but this book made me feel like a blathering idiot. I've attempted it 3 times and I fear that I am just not a good enough reader to follow it. I'm really glad other people have read Derrida and can tell me what he said.

I absolutely loved this book. Hysterical and heartwarming plus it has a tremendous cast of supporting characters. I dog eared half the book marking my favorite scenes. Christiana has been married for a year to Dicky who has treated her horribly. When she finds him dead she decides, with the help of her sisters to put him on ice so her sister Suzette can find a husband in order to pay off their father’s gambling debts. The hilarity ensues while they try to move the body. Then Dicky’s twin, Richard shows up to claim his rightful place and confront his twin for taking his name and title, only to discover he’s dead. Richard decides to slip into his brother’s identity to avoid a scandal. This puts him back in his rightful place but he also finds himself married to Christiana. Now he has to decide whether to stay married. So with the help of his friend Daniel, they have to hide his brother’s body from the sisters. More hilarity ensues. Then it’s all about whether Richard and Christiana want to stay married and finding out who is trying to kill and blackmail Richard. Fast paced story I could not put down. I read it in one day. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fresh and fun romance with lots of humor.
