Took me a bit to figure out the chronology of this novella - it takes place right before the most recent novel. That slight confusion aside, it was yet another wonderful foray into Armstrong's compelling world. It was nice to see some realistic tension in Paige and Lucas' relationship - they've been a bit too perfect up until now. And Savannah is coming along nicely. Of course, I'm still waiting eagerly for the next full novel, especially considering the cliff-hanger at the end of the last one.

I spotted the sequel to this book (Magic Study) on the library shelves on Tuesday...and asked the librarian about the first in the series. I'm very glad I did so! I devoured Poison Study in 2 nights, making my husband put a pillow over his head so I could finish the book while he went to sleep. (Really, I need a better system.) Yelana is a great character - strong, with a lot of depth and motivations that keep you guessing. But, what's great about Maria Snyder's books is her side characters. Everyone has an interesting story of their own, and you know that they have lives outside of their interactions with the main characters. Just a note. While I really enjoyed this book, it does deserve it's place in the adult science fiction titles section - it deals with some intense issues and although I do congratulate Maria Snyder for speaking truthfully about these things, I cannot recommend this book for younger audiences, no matter how over-intelligent or high their reading level.

This was a hot steamy shorty. It really could have been made into a longer story with a bit more story and tension in the beginning, but it is lovely as it is. It'll hold me over until the next wicked lovers installment.

I decided to read this book because most of my friends had read this book and they told me it is really good.I think this book falls under the drama/action category.I really liked this book because every time I turned the page it got more intense.Its one of those books that leaves the hairs on the back of your neck standing up.I would recommend the book to someone that is of age 11+ and to someone that enjoys getting thrills.
