** spoiler alert ** Hm wow this book seriously blew me away. And I didn't expect anything, but magic. From the first paragraph it takes you to a different world that I want to be a part off. All the drama and the action made one this one of the best novels I've ever read. Out of all the series I have read this by far is the one I am going to miss the most. I feel so attacted to Clary and Jace and all the other characters that I don't even want to read any other books for a long time. I just don't want this to end, but I know it's over. Ah I could go on and on about how much I adore this book, but I'll stop with saying I love this book, I love this Series and I love Cassandra for giving us this world. O and thanks goodness Jace and Clary are together :D

I seem to read books in themes. It was interesting to read this book so shortly after reading, "The Best of Enemies". Same subject and written very differently. Parts made me very angry. I get why everyone loves this book and I did really like it. It was definitely worth the wait for at my library. Can't say, "I LOVED it" the way a lot of my friends have said but yes, it was a great read.

I liked this book overall - the main character gets "duped" much too quickly which made me initially have a lot of trouble with the book. However, once I got over that and just "went with the flow" I found it to be a fun, quick read with a rather pleasant resolution. While the premise of the book is unbelievable, I'm much more willing to accept the role of the first year lawyer at close to face value. Grisham is Grisham - read the book if you like his writing!

Love the bizarre characters. The plots are OK not quite Agatha Christie. Borders has this in the Science fiction /fantasy area. The mystery aspect is taking a back seat to the characters. But they are so much fun. My idea of escapism!
