one of those unputdownable books that you finish in no time and higly anticipate the next one. eeeeeeee! i totally loved tucker in the first book , but now im second guessing claras OTP.

I have such a love/hate affair with this series! This one was - and remains - abfab. Scifi just doesn't get better than this, and if OSC had never written another word, this book would have been enough by itself to grant him the status of Master. I don't just hand out that kind of praise lightly. And in this case, the remaining books in the series really make me want to take it all back. They just aren't any good. In fact, they really weigh in on the sucky end of the scale. Oh, OSC still contructs sentences - and paragraphs - and chapters - and thus the entire book - so carefully and lovingly crafted that they may as well be set to music and turned into opera... but the plotlines just aren't there to support his skill as a wordsmith. A friend suggests that the books may mirror some sort of inner schism for OSC, perhaps between who he truly is, and who his church and religious beliefs would have him be. Evidently he endured quite a bit of censure regarding the contents of this one...

Lots of sexy, snarky Jack in this one, which is worth an extra star right there. Ianto has some great lines, too, especially in banter with Jack. And with Owen! Maybe that deserves another star. Some of the VR scenes are incredibly hysterical - Ianto's tail! All in all, fairly decent and I hope he writes more in the series this year.

A friend of Salvador’s gets a copy of Harry Potter for the kids, as she is a big fan. Together Salvador and his children decided to read the book. As they read they discover that Harry Potter is about good and whets right that, he fights against evil. Not only do they discover one should not judge a book by its cover, the children’s faith grows stronger. Along the way, Pedro and EJ meet neighborhood children and they create a group kids, called the God Squad. Their goal is to share the message of our lord with there fellow students. The group is faced with challenges, which they meet head on and overcome that reinforce the values of Christ and his words. “JUST LIKE THE CLAY IN THE POTTERS HANDS, SO ARE YOU IN MY HANDS”
