Me gustó. Es lo primero que pienso después de leer la última frase del libro. De lectura sencilla y trama poco compleja, Jostein Gaarder plantea por medio de una metáfora el gran misterio de la existencia. Sí, sí... hay referencias a los filósofos griegos y sus tradiciones, pero la novela se sostiene y se justifica en sí misma. Quisiera coger el libro (que me prestaron) y darselo a algún pequeño de curiosidad aguda para que sea feliz una tarde, como lo he sido yo.

I think this could have been a very jarring book had I not seen the movie Goodfellas so many times I practically have it memorized. As with the Godfather book/film, Goodfellas is an extremely faithful representation of Wiseguy. As many people have pointed out previously, what sets this book apart is the outright bluntness in the delivery. It wastes no time trying to water the cold, hard facts down or romanticize the lifestyle of a mafioso. We're talking about people who would murder their best friends and probably not feel too guilty about it afterward. It's a very chilling thought and it makes Henry's desire to want to be a part of the life absolutely mystifying. This is a well-written, no-nonsense book that holds the reader by the throat from start to finish.

Book 2 of this series seriously lagged and had me impatiently turning the pages, wondering where Salander had gone. This book, the third and final installment, was a taut, entertaining and satisfying revenge fantasy and fine wrap-up of the loose ends. These aren't great lit, they're pornographic, lurid crime potboilers. On those terms, I enjoyed it a bunch.
