Easy read, nice storyline... but written extremely strange. It was nice to read because I want to see the movie, but I felt like I was reading a movie script... not a book. There was no depth to it or any of the characters. Then, the final chapter (chapter 30) isn't in the book... it's on their website. They finally say who the wolf is and add a somewhat predictable, "dramatic" twist. I wouldn't call it a happy ending

The author jumps around quite a bit but has some interesting theories on how epidemics occur. He uses the same ideas of why crime rates decreased quickly and hush puppy shoes hit a new popularity to discuss how to prevent teenage smoking. Not sure I agree with it all but interesting.

I can't seem to finish this one. I don't really understand why, it's not like it's a bad book, i like the guy and he is funny. this is the book that Rich was reading when he was diagnosed, he never finished it.... so i picked it up thinking i would read it. i am probably half way through it too, but i have had the book since June of 2008.

These books are very compelling. Exciting, biblical prophecies coming to pass, but almost paralyzing in the fear they encourage. I think that we could get wrapped up in being 'prepared' physically for the last days, but the desire needs to be to be prepared spiritually.
