Review for Every Soul a Star by Wendy Mass Ally, a girl living with her family on a campground in the middle of nowhere. Bree, a city girl with aims of being a supermodel someday. And Jack, overweight and underestimated is just trying to get through life. Three unlikely friends brought together by one of the most breath taking events nature has to offer, a total solar eclipse. Together they discover what true friendship is and create memories that they will not likely forget. I really liked Every Soul a Star because of the transformation of the characters throughout the course of the book. I also loved the description in the book, one of my favorite lines was “ As stream of light fan out behind the darkened sun like the wings of a butterfly, I realize that I never saw real beauty until now. And one thought filled my head: If this could be repeated every day of the year, I would never budge from where I stood. ” I would recommend this to some one who enjoyed the Stargirl books by Jerry Spinelli or A Mango Shaped Space by Wendy Mass.

Agonizingly patronizing, insultingly obvious, insufferably redundant, the writing is banal, and the style is a terrific failure of an attempt to fableize a badly written self-help book. The popularity of this book is a shockingly disturbing testament to the majority's mindless acceptance of just about everything, a condition that has become the bane of today's society.

I really enjoyed this book because it was written from the perspective of an autistic child. That made it interesting.

When it come to straight forward beautiful not digitally messed with pictures of people, Linda McCartney's one of the best. It sounds really simple, but trust me, it's not. And this book has a lot of classic shots because she was photographing musicians in the 60's- people like Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, a lot of people no longer here. Lots of good stuff in this book. I think as a young photographer McCartney influenced what I consider to be a beautiful photograph, which in today's world of photography can be a million different things. But she was still capturing moments and people in a way that takes talent- not just taking shots and calling it documentary photography. She was still making art- her photos express something, an emotion or idea, which is completely possible with film and light and a camera- you don't need to mess with it 10 times in photoshop. McCartney got me started on that road.

The only book I've ever read that convinced me of the existence of a fictitious author/novels I desperately wanted to read.

What secrets is alex hiding, What is Genevieve trying to tell her in her own way. What do the police really believe has happened to Genevieve. how will it all end? With a happy ever after??? REad to find out! This is the first book i have read by this author and i loved it so much. I couldnt put it down and you are left guessing until the end. I loved the fact the chapters were not to long, the book moved at a good steady pace. One thing i did think was missing was that Sarah had lost a baby but yet throughout there was only tiny mentions of this. however dont let that put you off. I would definately reccomend this book to anyone. Its a "feminine" read as such but a truly worthwhile one. I now have this authors other books on my wishlist! I read this as past of the Transworld Book Group Reading Challenge.
