Dear Mrs. Woolf I greatly enjoyed your book. However, may I suggest chapters? Faulkner did chapters, and he was an asshole about this stuff.

It was cute. Not too in depth.

Read it many years ago, and I can remember enjoying it at the time. Think I'll place that on the list to re-read.

Every once in a while a book comes along that you feel you were fated to read - this book came to me at the right time with the right messages. I really loved it.

I'm reading this book as a part of the New School Summer Writers Colony, further, a part of the program's Literary Salons, in which we have to read a book and discuss it all week, and at the end of the week, the author comes to the class to discuss it, etc etc etc. The only thing this book has shown me is how much work Americans will pour in to being British. TEC is nothing but 431 pages of trans-Atlantic slang-jealousy.

One of the only pictures books that I have found about a dyslexic kid. It's an autobiography - Palacco is dyslexic and it's her story about learning how to read. Every kid that is having a hard time with reading should be read this book!

This is Book 2 in Rachel Vincent's series about werecats. Hey, it's not all about werewolves. ;-) In the world of werecats, females are rare, which makes Faythe extremely valuable. She's also the daughter of an Alpha and is being groomed to one day take over the Pride, even though that's not what she wants. She made a promise to stick it out for two years, however, so she's learning the ropes and how to handle enforcer responsibilities. But some past mistakes are going to come back to haunt her. A rogue cat is killing strays, and while the Pride could normally care less about dead strays, someone is calling the Alpha directly to report these kills. Faythe and her sometimes boyfriend Marc head out to investigate. Someone's hunting strays all right, and someone else is hunting the rogue. Faythe discovers a pattern linked to some human disappearances as well and realizes that the situation may be more dangerous than they originally anticipated. In addition, Faythe's old human boyfriend keeps calling, and he's pissed. Faythe will discover she's inadvertently responsible for everything that's happening, and the consequences might be more than she can swallow. My review of the first book, Stray, highlighted Vincent's excellent prose and potential, but thought the plot was laid out a little too much like blocks. I am happy to say her potential is showing through. This book was well paced with the various conflicts interwoven throughout. The story was great, with its own twists and surprises that make it exciting. Faythe's got a lot of issues, primarily relationship issues. Marc loves her and wants to be with her, but Faythe isn't sure she even wants to be with the Pride. She can't have it both ways, however. The Pride's sense of priorities is a little skewed sometimes, which also makes living with them difficult for Faythe. While the plot is resolved, Faythe is in big trouble by the time it's over, and that won't be resolved until the next book, Pride.
