Even though this was not an edge of your seat type of mystery, I really enjoyed this book. Something about Jance's "Beaumont" books, and the way she writes in this characters voice, that make them fun to read, even without near misses with serial killers.

So I started this the other day, but life got in the way and I only made it to page 5. So at 11am today I sat down to read a few chapters and needless to say I didn't stop until the acknowledgments! (although I read them too and the shout out to Kiresten White was very sweet) I'd say I'm in love with Cricket as much as I am St Claire, but I've decided I'm just in love with Stephane Perkins ( in a non lesbian kind of way) seriously the lady can write not only male characters that you love, but female ones you root for till the very end! I wish Mr Scientific Cricket could build 52 Stephanie robots so we could have a new piece of her work every single week! Thank you Stephanie and Lola for making a bad week better. :)

There is a billion things I could say about this book, all of them being positive. I absolutely loved this story and was crushed wanting more at the end. Great story, great characters. I loved it.

I used the book often in those first years of being a practicing librarian and shared it as often as I could with any child or parent who'd listen. Now, in his latest book, Mr. Mayer returns to his beginningswith an equally humorous, charming, wry tale of a young octopus setting out from home and climbing into the adventure of his life. A great book for the blossoming storyteller or novelist in your life and a great read for anyone who enjoys a funny, touching tale of "delicious" adventure.

I liked the way this book weaves between characters who are mostly related in the stories. However, I kept thinking it was going to tie everything together at the end. And it didn't. There was no ending to the book, really, it just sort of ended. While the book was interesting, and held my interest while I was reading it, I'm glad I only borrowed this book from the library, as I definitely wouldn't read it again.

This book is an annotated bibliography, and has a unique subject: it refers to books and articles in which people have made a prediction about the future of libraries. Although it technically "begins" with Lancaster's 1978 *Toward Paperless Information Systems*, it also contains some very interesting references to works going back to the 1930's. For example, in 1936, Ethel Fair made some recommendations to librarians, such as an "electric eye" which "might, without stretching the imagination, be used to record books as they are borrowed or returned, matchin gsymbol with symbol." Imagine! This is a very comprehensive collection of works and spans a wide variety of topics in library science. A must have for anyone interested in the history of the future of libraries!

I was attracted to this book by its title. Intrigued, I bought it off a bargain-book table and took it home. Though it wasn't exactly what I expected, I wasn't disappointed. A self-improvement book with a bit of a twist.
