I enjoy backpacking, so this had extra resonance with me. He takes a very humourous approach to his trip along the appalachian trail and combines it with his own research and discovery of the trail's rich history and heritage. Sometimes, his pleas to preserve the trail and save America's forests and wildlife in general are a bit intrusive, but then again, who can blame him!

I wandered into the Indian Trail Library, in North Carolina looking for a book to listen to. Just something to pass the time. On the top shelf were selections the librarians recommended, and the cover caught my attention. Without even reading the back, I popped in the 1st disk and was whisked away to a murder mystery in my hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan! Which turned out to be exactly what I needed. Huge coincidence, or divine guidance....
