The book was placed on my reading list by my librarian. I was not really satisfied. The audiobook sounds as if it is being read by an 8 year old. It was just hard to read another teen novel so quickly after Twillight. The books jumps around, leaves so many loose ends along the pages. The main character attempts a sort of suicide, and I would have really prefered a lot more reasoning behind it. I suppose the thought was that 14 year olds are impulsive, but the 14 year olds I know put much more thought into actions than the main character. I did like the whole concept of the afterlife as described. The concept of the book was better than the book its self.

Этот казус кажется мне казусом каждого из нас. Любой человек – это конкретный случай в руке Господа Бога, в мировом компоте, в котором мы все плаваем». К ее словам можно добавить, что «Казус…» – это смелая попытка заглянуть в бездну, в которой каждый человек – сумма казусов."

One of my favorite series! This is a cheesy, action packed mormon romance novel. Fantastic. You should pick it up. There are like 8 books in the series. They're all pretty good, but this one starts the adventure.

Wonderfully engaging story about a young man who runs off to work for the circus. I love books that transport me into unexpected worlds and Water for Elephants did just that. The book flows at a good pace, moving back and forth in time with a genuine ease that I felt beautifully captured Jacob Jankowski's journey from veterinary student to (unexpected) vet to a menagerie of circus stars (including one very clever elephant!) Look forward to more books from Sara Gruen!

Written by Mike Greenberg of “Mike and Mike in the Morning” and bought for my husband who listens to their radio program every morning on his way to work. Not entirely about sports Greenberg gives us a glimpse into his life as a husband, as a father, and then as a sportscaster. Because life isn’t just about sports or family or the need to go to the grocery store. It’s about all those things combined. The book is funny and sad and I would definitely recommend it, especially if you’re married (with or without kids) and a sports fan.

I said I was not going to read any more Piccoult novels, but I had one more on my bookshelf. I have to say that I did enjoy Perfect Match . How far would you go to protect your child is the premise and I was surprised how many times I changed my decision. Although the story line is predictable, Perfect Match is worth the time it took to read it.Perfect Match
