I really liked this book, but I like reading just about anything that has to do with Africa. It was kind of an easy read because it's mostly just random stories about her time in Africa. I loved how strong and independent she was. I followed this with West with the Night, which made it interesting because they knew so many of the same people but never really mention each other.

This book was good. This story is from an old Viking tale about an Irish princess who is captured and sold as a slave and her voyage from Ireland to the Middle East to Iceland. It is a bit tragic and I was hoping for a better ending. But, read it because it will take you only a day and it is quite captivating.

I really liked this book. The story line reminded me of the Hunger Games although I didn't think it was quiet as good. The ending really left me wanting to pick up the second book though.

When I first saw this book in the library, I rolled my eyes. But then I saw Suzanne on Oprah and the stuff she was saying made sense to me, so when I saw it again I decided to give it a go. I was impressed mostly with the fact that the book is comprised of discussions with actual doctors moreso than her personal opinions. The content's pretty controversial but it definitely gave easy to understand explanations about the body, food, the brain, and cancer, specifically. And it also convinced me why it's important to chew your food thoroughly, and it's not just so you feel fuller faster.

I thought I needed this book. Why, it's got a great, colorful cover; why wouldn't I need it? I was basically not impressed with the redundancy of the dictionary style in which it was written. I feel that if you have done any other reading on baby gear, you'll know the vocabulary enough to not need a separate book explaining the gear in all its glory. This book talked about every little thing that, until I became a parent, I didn't realize I didn't actually need. It would be useful for someone wanting to know the intricacies of baby gear, but for the average parent, I don't see this having any outstanding practical use. That being said, the company that put out this book is amazing and its online store should be visited by any parent looking for unique baby clothes, toys and, yes, gear. www.giggle.com

I have yet to read anything by Neil Gaiman that turned out to be a turkey. I came to this book expecting a humorous, compelling read, and that is what I got. I heard a radio interview with Gaiman in which he said he thought he wasnt finished with the Anansi boys yet, so hopefully any sequal will be equally engaging.
