Others have reviewed this in detail, and there is little I can add. Absolutely absorbing, horribly bloody, and incredible to think it was written so long ago. Surely Lattimore has captured the feel of the original - if not, then this will do for me. I can see why this is the enduring translation. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Awesome, this book is second in the Angel: After the Fall but actually preceeds book 1. This is the story of what happened on the first night that LA fell into hell, and answers the questions of how in the world each character got to where they were when book one started, a few months after the fall.

I love Lawrence Halprin (I’m fortunate to live in San Francisco where some of his work lives) and loved this exhibition and this book from the exhibition. Truly great architect/landscape architect. This book contains many drawings and photos of his completed work. Lots of waterfalls and greenery incorporated into his designs. And good biographical information and comments by others about Halprin and his work. He’s an inspired artist. Just looking at the photos in the book is enough for me to feel happy and peaceful.

What can I say, I absolutely love this series and this book was no different. Violet and Jay are still the cutest couple Ever!! Rafe was still infuriating to me, only because I hate that he interferes in Violet and Jays relationship. And I loved that Violet has come to terms with her ability (in a way, and thanks to some help from a certain someone). Can't wait to see what next!!

This book is a rip-off of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. It came out right after the hype in order to attract the most reader. Even though the incidents in the book refer directly to Dante's Inferno, the plot itself is easy to predict and the characters are not very unique. Despite that, i would recommend it for anyone who enjoyed the Inferno.

This is the worst thing I have read in recent memory. I went back and read The Dark Knight Returns to make sure I wasn't crazy. What in the hell happened to Frank Miller? The writing makes Rob Liefeld look like a genius. The art is a fucking mess. The layouts are impenetrable. The digital coloring makes me nostalgic for Batman: Digital Justice. And I thought 300 was bad.

The New York Public Library currently has an exhibit on this book; the author researched the book at the library. I was captivated by the mixture of biography, art, and science, so I picked it up. The cover glows in the dark. I'm hoping that it is suitable for sharing with my son, who has an interest in a science career.
A beautiful memoir of a life-changing experience working among the poor - excellent!

I liked the narrative voice, but the plot -- and ending -- seemed unbelieveable. Thought I'd really like this one, so I was sad when I didn't.
