At the beginning, there are a lot of characters introduced right away and it gets very hard to keep everyone straight, especially since no one seems to have an individual personality, so everyone blends together. Very predictable ending.

This book is good, and it's definitely the most popular baby guide. But, there are other books that are better, like the one from the American Academy of Pediatricians, Caring for Your Baby and Young Child. I felt this book included too many topics that were just hype. It also covers topics in an inflammatory way, and then more calmly states the actual facts at the very end of a topic. For instance, it lists a number of foods not to give your child the first or even second year. I was starting to get worried. Then, as a disclaimer at the end, it says not to worry unless you have a family history of allergies to those specific foods. Another example is the list of things your child should do at each milestone. I felt like we kept up pretty well until the last milestone at one year when my child should have been doing everything except fly a rocket ship. Again, I felt panic that we were doing something wrong until I read a little further and figured out that nobody else's kids were doing it either. The next chapter said things like "30% of children won't do this until they're 18 months old." Spend your money on some other book, if you have a chance. But if you're at Wal-Mart, and this is the only book they have, it'll still give you the necessary information.

not as i expected about time travel and the supernatural thing. for a 10th century viking, rolf is amazing in adapting in 20th century. walopun lebih banyak adaptasinya si viking di abad 20 (bukan abad 21 lho!) daripada kehidupan vikingnya, tapi lumayan bikin nyengir. hmm... penasaran kalo diterjemahin permainan katanya gimana, ya? calf in shore bow = kevin sorbo (inget zaman nonton hercules sama xena the warrior princess) dock-whore = doctor sand-witches = sandwich

You wake up in the hospital and can’t remember anything. Someone tells you what have happened and who you are. You even can’t remember what you looked like because now you have a different face because of fire where your face, hair and hands got burned. That is how the story starts. Then the author takes the reader by hand and shows him many different ways how the girl could end in this situation (meanwhile for the reader it is only the beginning). Every of personages had its own plan and it is hard to say who won and who was trapped. Even after the last page it is hard to understand who the winner is in this great swindle. Most probably there is none. He that mischief hatches...

"A Passion Most Pure" has made it's way into my top 10 most favorites and yearly re-reads. Julie Lessman has crafted a rich, wonderful read with characters you feel like could walk off the page and enjoy a cup of coffee with you. An avid reader, the majority of my reads are "Inspy" fiction, which I must say often leave me feeling like "who is REALLY that perfect in life" Julie's characters not only inspire in how to pursue a passion for God, but don't leave you rolling your eyes or with a sickly feeling of "oh how wonderful that your life is so perfect". Faith O'Connor has become one of my favorite heroines, and I must say I struggled between Colin and Mitch, because while I loved Colin's journey, Mitch's story was just as intriguing and I found myself fighting between who I really wanted Faith to be with ;) Trust me, you won't be disappointed in Julie's first novel but be warned it may cause a case of insomnia, as you get so involved you don't want to put it down!
