This is a good book. I really like now Nancy Werlin turned a song into a book; that's so creative and amazing! Since it's Scarborough Fair, it gives the book a really mysterious effect. I loved the romance between Lucy + Zach, and the ending was really cool.

I liked this book quite a bit. The structure was very interesting, with the past coming to a climax at the same time as the present. Seems like it might be gimmicky, but it works. I expected this book to be more passionate, angry, or something, but it is very subdued, which I think is good. The title is rather sensational and doesn't really fit the book, though it does in a way. All in all, it is a very quiet meditation on what it is to be from a country that is being forced to change, and finding that you are part of that force. I also like the way the love story is believable, and adds meaning to the rest of the plot.
