My daughter LOVED this book. I have never seen her so excited to read a book before, she couldn't put it down. She was so excited she wanted me to read it too. I thought it was cute, and I liked the drawings. What I liked most about the book was an underlying theme about how two sisters take care of their "dolls." Kate, takes good care of her dolls, thus she is more beloved by the doll people. Nora, is not so gentle and she is dreaded when she plays with the them. To see my daughter excited about reading and wondering if her dolls are really alive...makes it all worth it.

I can't describe the vampire chronicles, I could not do them justice. Just take a chance and read them. They aren't for everyone. Rice's layered writing style can be somewhat suffocating for some, but it is my cuppa...tea. I can say these books have helped me through some rough times just by offering escape and although the characters are superhuman and supernatural, they grieve and love in very relatable ways.

This book would have to be the best book I have ever read, because it seems so real, you feel like you are actually in the book. The outsiders is about two different groups of people the greasers, which is the guys you would say live in the rough part of town and the socs, they are the rich preppy kids who think they are better than everyone. The point in the book where Jonny and pony boy run into the church to save the kids was my favorite part of the book just because it showed bravery, they didn't have to save them but they did anyway. This book has its ups and downs, anyone who enjoys reading I think would love this book.

Academic Sci-Fi - pretty good but frustrating because it isnt a complete book - there is no ending, you have to read the sequel to get the whole story, and the sequel just isnt as good.

I read this book for my class on fascism, and this was by far the best on the reading list. It's short, compellingly written unlike so many history books, and makes great use of other research, synthesizing. The books's point is drawing out threads in European history before Nazism and the Holocaust that fed into them and made them possible. Uncomfortable but wonderful, definitely read this book.
