Not a book for people who are not interested in Christianity and its history. A worthwhile read for knowing what the hoopla is all about. The revised history is always fun to read. The fiction in the book appears to be cheap and fabricated at a times.

I knew very little about Cleopatra going into this book. I found her story fascinating and was impressed with the way Schiff interpreted her life story given the very limited primary sources on Cleopatra. It did take me a while to get into the book - Schiff's prose is impressive, but taxing in places. It was definitely worth the effort though.

I'll be honest, I had trouble getting through this one. I am all for books with sexy love scenes...but a girl has to get out of bed sometime! There was more sex than plot to this one. However, this does not stop me from wanting to read the rest of the series.

I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read that I started and finished on the flights to and from Utah (maybe I enjoyed it more because it was "guilt free" reading...you can't fold laundry on a plane;) Anyway, I didn't like it quite as much as The Hunger Games, but it was thought provoking. I'm looking forward to the second book of the series that comes out in November and hopefully the third book will be less of a disappointment than the third Hunger Games was...we'll see.

I laughed out loud for three quarters of this book. Then the story just kind of fizzled out... like the author felt she needed to wrap things up and get the book out there. I was disappointed even though my expectations were nothing more than to enjoy some girl fluff.

I enjoyed this less than I thought I would, though it wasn't bad. Most of the stories were mediocre, I thought. The one that stands out most vividly in my memory is one about a nondescript wife whose husband marries her for her money: she's drab and shy and inwardly as well as outwardly colourless, but she loves him as well as she knows how. He has a mistress who is the love of his life because she actually has personality; wife finds out about mistress; wife undergoes considerable anguish; wife kills herself; husband all unknowing happily marries mistress; husband and new wife later find out that wife knew about them and suicided on their account, discovery accompanied by strong implication that breakdown of the marriage and spiral into joint despair is to follow. I cried buckets!

How I got this book: NetGalley Silver has created one of the most intriguing paranormal romance worlds, one in while I keep coming back for more! *NOTE: THERE ARE SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST THREE BOOKS OF THE SERIES IN THIS REVIEW* Loken is finally reunited with his body and trying to get out of the null zone so he can find and protect his daughter. He spends most of his time wandering and trying to get out, only to be pulled and told he will have a guide to help him through the Twelve Gates so he can get back to his daughter. Bryn has been on the run with her daughter ever since Lokan’s death. But when she is found and gets a better understanding of what exactly happened to Lokan, she worries even more for their daughter’s safety. She makes a deal to help Lokan get back topside and despite their history, the two must rely on each other to get out of their own hell. One of the most difficult things for me to read in any book is a broken up timeline. When things go from present to past to present to an alternate past to present to past and so on and so forth, my brain goes on overload and shuts down. While I can appreciate why the author does it, as a reader it drives me crazy. This story does that… constantly. The story itself was amazing though. I’ve been waiting to see how Lokan would get himself out of the null zone, how he would face his father, and what was going to happen with his HEA. Needless to say, it all rocked! I loved the way the story wrapped up and how it all came together. As everything unfolded I got more and more excited for Lokan and his brothers, knowing their revenge would be sweet. I wasn’t disappointed. It really was a perfect ending!! The romance between Bryn and Lokan felt…rushed? odd? to me. Maybe because it was broken up so from the present timeline and the past timeline of when they first met and the years they spent raising their daughter before Lokan’s death. I wanted there to be more between them, and although they had a past together, their passion and romance just didn’t click with me. The sub-plots with Lokan’s brothers was well done as well. Watching them fight to get back their mates, do everything in their power to protect their niece and get their brother back was a refreshing change to the dark story line surrounding Lokan. Plus, I love Mal, Alastor and Dagan. I don’t know what Silver’s plans are for continuing the series, but I hope she writes more within the world. We only got a glimpse at Bryn’s brothers, but I wouldn’t complain if they were next up for an HEA. It would be interesting to see more details about the other supernatural creatures in the world. All in all Silver writes another jam packed novel featuring extensive world-building, descriptive and imaginative scenes and lots of sexy times. While there were some things I didn’t like about this book, I was very happy with how the overall story arc with Lokan was resolved, and happy to see it work out so perfectly! I give Body of Sin a C

This book was definitely one of the best books i have ever read. EVeryone kept saying how great the book was and how great the movie was but I never believed them. Well, i was completly wrong. This book is awesome!! The chracters are so original and really cute. Who would ever have thought that a vampire would fall in love with a girl who was that clumsy. Bella can trip over anything and nothing. I'm not sure how you trip over air but it was really funny. Edward had the perfect personality for the perfect boyfriend. Who wouldn't want a boyfriend who would be there to save you whenever you need him. Of course not everyone is a danger magnet like Bella. Overall this book was one of the best page turners I have ever read. It mixed romance and action really well. This book not only drew women in because of the romantic parts, but it also drew in guys because there were fight scenes that really caught people's attention. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a thriller. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.:)
